NY Market Status

New York is boldly delving into offshore wind, with five projects simultaneously underway with a goal to bring 9 GW of offshore wind capacity to the state by 2035, enough to power 30% of the state’s total electricity needs. These five wind farms - the South Fork Wind Farm, Beacon Wind, Sunrise Wind, and Empire Wind 1 and 2 - are all expected to be operational by 2026.
